This artist, designer and metal fabricator also builds classic motorcycles and has an acute interest in antiques and vintage clothing, particularly early workwear and army surplus.
He’s concerned with the design and quality of man made objects. Everything we touch and use has been through multiple processes where groups or individuals are employed to make things desirable and function well.
When he adapts or considers the use of a found object, be it a section of machinery or perhaps some antique glass, he embraces all the processes which have already been applied to its form and construction then attempts a reinvention or inclusion of the piece within a new context.
He’s fascinated by human achievements in design and technology although this merely compounds his astonishment of how things exist in the natural world completely devoid of mans intervention.
Its no coincidence, therefore, that we look to nature for guidance, inspiration and the answers to all we desire.
